who we are
Viroqua Plastic Free was formed in the summer of 2018, when concerned citizens started to educate themselves about the global plastic crisis. They watched documentaries, read news articles, and looked for ways they could make a difference
right here, in Viroqua, Wisconsin.

Since then, we've grown in numbers and scope, but our goals have never changed--fight plastic pollution in our own backyards!

All of us at Viroqua Plastic Free share a common vision of a world where we don't have to worry about plastic in our water, air, and soil. We see a world that is plastic free from the ground up, and the top down. Here's how we achieve that:

1. Educate. Spread the word about plastic pollution.

2. Empower. Help people find and use alternatives to plastic, and encourage them to raise their voices in this effort!

3. Collaborate. Work with local businesses, schools, and community groups for cooperative solutions to the plastic crisis.
